History of MSA
MSA is an indigenous African, charitable social enterprise, a not-for-profit organization, with a focus on improving institutional, organizational and program effectiveness of health development organisation. MSA is unique as an African organization combining strong 'western' management experience and skills with truly African perspective and vision. MSA's Founders are senior African and Africa-serving SRH and management professionals who have worked in a wide variety of national, Africa regional, and international SRH program development and management settings, with unique insights into needs and solutions that are likely to work.
MSA was registered in the United Kingdom (2000) and Nigeria in June 2003 as a private company limitedby guarantee. It is also registered as a UK charity (England and Wales). Most of MSA's work to date has been based in the Nigerian office, while the London Office serves as a fund-raising and technical and administrative support unit.
MSA-Nigeria is developing as a credible, innovative and effective technical resource, committed to assisting Nigerian institutions and organizations engaged in health development activities to strengthen their policy, program, and management development and implementation capacity in order to increase their sustainable impact. The mission of MSA is to assist organizations to achieve and sustain institutional and management effectiveness for greater impact.
